Deepti Bhatnagar Productions has been in the television industry since 2001. Having started with an international travel show “Musaafir Hoon Yaaron” for the number one television network in India, Star TV, today the production house is a trademark for travel shows in India. “Musaafir Hoon Yaaron” was hosted by Deepti Bhatnagar herself, it’s a half hour presentation on beautiful locales abroad, cultures, shopping, food and much more. This was the first international travel show on Indian television and has completed over 195 episodes, featuring over 60 countries. We have had the honor of being invited by the tourism of Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, France, Finland to name a few to promote their country’s tourism with the help of their local tourist departments.
From showcasing global destinations to a trip into India’s religious and pilgrim history…
With “Yatra” and “Musaafir Hoon Yaaron” Deepti Bhatnagar Productions established a name in the genre of non-fiction shows. Having successfully produced travel shows we thought of venturing into something new.
We produced a family fiction drama series “Kabhie Aaye Naa Judai” epitomizing the great Indian family way of life. We completed 300 plus episodes of this half hour daily soap on Star Plus.
Star TV launched its new channel Star One in October 2004 and since the launch of the channel we had been making two shows for them, …an interior’s show called “Home Shanti Home” that featured beautiful homes, both traditional and contemporary, home design stores, profiles of interior designers and architects, do-it-yourself tips and reality makeovers and “Exotica” a travel show featuring exotic, lesser known Holiday destinations in India like sand dunes of Jaisalmer to a frozen lake in Sikkim, from Tigers of Corbett to Rhinos of Kaziranga, from the hills of Himachal to exotic backwaters of Kerala.
Since we have been doing travel shows for years now we have good set of resources to be able to produce quality films for the tourism of the state/ country. Therefore, D.B Productions has also made three films for Italian tourism, one for Irish tourism and one for Finnish tourism. We have also done a 7 minute, 1 minute and 30 second commercial tourism advertisement for the Italy tourism with the 1 minute ad-film to be showcased in theatres for promoting the Italy tourism. Apart from these we have also produced two corporate films for the Hinduja Group of Companies which was based on the centenary celebration of the patriarch’s of the Hinduja Family and currently we are working on the third one. And have also made a 1-hour documentary on “Floriculture” for APEDA.
Our next venture was the show- “Mirchi Top 20”, which was essentially a travel cum lifestyle show that also included a countdown of the latest blockbuster music/ songs… the show savored the culture…the cuisine and showcased the finest in the city peppered with music and songs to complete the travel.
“Bollywood Cutting”, was another non-fiction show added to the gamut of the D.B.Productions, the show featured edited out footage, behind the scenes fun and N-G takes of popular movies such as Sholay, Main Hoon Na, Bluffmaster, Taxi No 9211, Chalte Chalte and many more.
We completed two seasons of a light-hearted daily fiction show called “Mohalla Mohabbat Wala”- which was aired on ‘Sony Sab’ and was among the most popular shows on the channel.
We are currently producing a one-hour weekly for Star Plus called “Gum Hua Hosh Hai”.
